Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara (Fly-in)

Your luxury safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi. A short road transfer of approximately 30 minutes will take you to Wilson Airport, the hub for domestic flights. You will board a scheduled domestic flight to Olkiombo Airstrip in the Maasai Mara. The flight is a scenic one, lasting about an hour and offering a breathtaking aerial view of the Rift Valley.

Upon arrival at Olkiombo Airstrip, you will be warmly welcomed by the Amani Mara Camp team. Your transfer to the camp will be a game drive in itself, as you journey through the reserve’s stunning landscape. The drive to the camp is about 15 km, taking 30-45 minutes depending on the game sightings along the way. After checking in and settling into your luxury tent, you will enjoy a delicious lunch. The afternoon is yours to rest and acclimate to your new surroundings.

Upon arrival, a dedicated transfer vehicle will be waiting to take you to either your Nairobi hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your international departure. The drive to JKIA is about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic.
